New Seattle: Shadows Evolved is a non-consent based roleplaying game. That means that things can happen to your character that you do not consent to. It means that your character can do things to other characters that they do not consent to. Characters here have been seduced, drugged, killed, beaten up, kidnapped, robbed, maimed, drowned, jailed, sexually harassed, embarrassed, mocked, slandered, stalked, and otherwise tortured. These are IN CHARACTER realities and possibilities. The city of Seattle, in Shadowrun, is a dark, gritty dystopian world where corporations rule and corruption abounds.
 
PLEASE NOTE: This does not mean that you will be expected or forced to roleplay out these possibilities, especially roleplay of sexual conduct. Such roleplay is absolutely NOT required and MAY be prohibited both by our policy and by law. The player may request a ?Fade to Black? (FTB) and be informed by staff of the outcome of the scene.
 
That said, the majority of roleplaying situations are considerably more enjoyable.

The non-consent policy only applies to IN CHARACTER actions. OUT OF CHARACTER you may not touch, page, @mail, message, or speak to another player against his or her wishes. Respect their privacy. Respect their opinion. Above all, respect the wishes of other players. This does not apply to staff when they are contacting someone in the course of their staff duties. Please use common sense.
