Well in theory a troll could have radical plastic surgery to look like a really huge elf...  Plus, if the troll was one of the metatype that doesn't have nasty bone deposits, they wouldn't be so gross, and plastic surgery would be easy.

I like how a thread derailment based upon interpretations of character attributes and the nature of the magic system is good for a scolding but elfbian derailment merely gets everyone's undivided attention 

Well if you can't beat them join them. Besides your input was good helped me change a couple things with the character and I'm happy with it now so suggestion are kinda a moot point.
