Hey everyone. I tripped over this site recently and I was just wondering if anyone from Seattle Mux circa 1997-2000 was still hanging around.

I played Minx (aka Sally). It's been a while but here's some of the people I remember:

My old partners in MFI (mobile fire Inc.):
Hale (gunslinger/sniper extrodinare)
Cassie (razorgirl)

And most of my old contacts:
Puck (the dwarf who ran Shorty's)
Lance (Street Lengend)
Leaphorn (razorguy)
Binary (Network 23 news reporter)
Shutter (admin)
Frost (elf gang leader)
Mako (yakuza boss)

Man, I wish I could remember some more...there were so many. I just can't remember them all.

Let me know if you're still around,

of if you know where they are now.

Thanks

I knew Frost, Lance, Leaphorn, and Mako.  I'm not sure on the others.  I hardly chose to players longer than about a year, except for Victor Kratz, who I played for the longest active period time.  If I recall correctly I was playing the following characters back then:

Victor Kratz (Human, 1997 and prior - retired)
Makusu (Human, Early 1998 - assassinated very early)
Spicolli (Troll, Early 1998 - retired)
Cyman (Elf, Mid 1998 - assassinated)
Curtis (Human, Mid 1999 - retired)
Blake (Human, Early 2000 - retired)
Jimmie (Admin, Late 2000 - resigned)

I started a character on Seattle in 1994.  I remember lots of people but it's very spotty.  I recall that, at the time, I saw a lot of Arioch, Lachesis, Leaphorn... though they might have been later. Crazy Jane comes to mind.  Tron and O'Meara.  Banshee.  I think those were the people who were playing when I started.  It's all a bit hazy after, you know, more than a decade.

I remember Mako and I think Victor Kratz. Victor was wealthy, right? I was involved in the Ghoul hunt at Marlon Brando Cemetary (sometime between 95 and 97). Mako gave me the tip, but it turned into a big showdown between Metas and Yakuza. I was Ray Falcon (Network 23) back then.

Minx!  Jaymes!  Shades!  My God, more than a decade . . . just happened to log back in today and saw the link to these forums, thought I would swing by and see who was still around.  I think I also started around 1994 or '95.  I am touched that some of you remember me. Smiley  Well, remember Leaphorn that is.  Those old WHO logs are awesome, too, Jaymes.  I wish I had not lost all my own log files, talk about bringing back memories.

My list of characters that I can remember is:

Rage (Human, Hellhound, didn't live very long)
Leaphorn (Human, Streetsam / Humanis dude)
Nathan (Admin)
Bulldog / Evolution / Alastair (Human PhysAd, all the same character through various identity changes, started as Hellhound Leader.  I'm amazed Alastair still has an object there).

I've probably forgotten most people but still have a pretty long list I remember, half from my brain half from those WHO lists:  Minx, Hale, Lance, Jaymes's various incarnations, Kal/Shades, Neko, Autumn/Talia, Lilith/Winks, Crash, Callahan, Alicia, Drused, Dr. Summers, Johnny Goldeyes, Jak, Ryan Anderson, Faith, Tieriel, Nadiya, Ento, Damien, Legs, Karen, Catriona, Meg, Dr. Jon Nash, Kitoh, Radnax/Xandar, Mark . . . and of course Shayd, Revenant, and their hardcore PCs/NPCs from the early days.  I played a lot with the admin Richard too, but I can't remember his character names now (Clue maybe?).  Those were the good ol' days.  What an exciting game it was, for me at least.

I know Xandar/Radnax/Philippe was running Dragonlance: Age of Mortals MUSH for awhile several years after I stopped playing on Seattle, and it's still running, but I have no clue if he's still involved.  And the guy who was the admin Charlie/CJ (the only character of his I remember is Cara), I actually talk to him every once in awhile.  Not sure about anyone else.

Hey, Nate.

Richard = Clue, yeah. (Clue by Four Smiley)

Long time! How's it going?

Re: DL -- I stepped down from it a few months ago due to RL.  Hard decision to make, but ... I simply don't have time anymore. Need to figure out how to get more time.

Thanks for the shout out.  I have great memories of the place - so great that I'm still lurking 7 years later.

I can't begin to list all the people I've wondered about.  Top of the list are admins Talieson, Castaway, and Rubik.  Ya'll rocked.  And of course Shayd and Richard.

As for players... well, too many to list.  You know who you are.  Drop me a line.  I want to get caught up. Smiley

I've only been here for about four years.

I started playing in 1995.

I played Druse, an American Indian vampire hunter.  He died robbing Atomic Med and Cyber.
I played Daniel Shay, an electronics expert.  I retired him after a month when Dr. Alex Stone got approved.
I played Dr. Alex Stone, a caucasian Bioware doctor.  He was retired after a RP concept/plot I had been working on for 2 years was canceled by Amber. He was also a member of Humanis.
I played Naadam.  He was a mercenary Magician Adept.  I killed him off, spent a ton of nuyen and came back as Silver.
I still have Silver.

I also was the staffer, Drused the first time around.  Medical and Magic RPC.  Later I was Hybris, Magic RPC, ARPD and for a time, RPD.

Anyone who wants can contact me at: drused2@gmail.com or drused@deadworlds.com.

I remember oh so many different people from my decade on the game.  Richard, Clue, Gabriel, Neko, Leaphorn, Lance, Nathan, Bulldog/Evolution/Alastair, Lilith/Winks, Goldeyes, Hale, Kal/Shades, Mako, O'meara, Curtis Stone, Dr. John Summers, Takara Miyamoto, Reno, Jak, Faith, Talia, Callahan/Grant, Ento, Nash, Radnax, etc.  So many more. I definitely remember Catriona.  She's a cool and beautiful lady.

I suppose I'll go through my list too since everyone else has been, though I really only had two main characters on Seattle.

Started in 1994/1995 (I think 95):

Main Characters
 - Xandar - started out as a Elven gang member and then led the HellHounds to a gang of so many active PCs that the RPS shut down recruiting. Retired him after he was arrested, given a plea deal and then renegged b/c he ratted on a staff-alt.

 - Jaguar - Runner member of a small team.  BG retconned for some unknown reason. Retired.

 - Hermes - Played for about a month. Humanis cybergoon. Retired due to time constraints.

 - Radnax - Was Xandar, escaped from jail and restarted a gang.  Became hunted, had a face / virtual race change and became Yakuza before rising the rank to become warlord and second in command as Reibun.  Retired after I started DL:AoM and got bored with him as too powerful for my tastes.

Staff:
Eclipse - ABCD for a while, RPD for a while, consultant for a looong time (and still)

That's my Seattle listing, I think.  I remeber most of the list that Nick V and Nate posted and also Rage, Nightcrawler, Crash.... I can't remember his name, but the Mafia Ork Xandar pissed off as a HellHound.  That was a fun/tense moment.

I was there too and have such fond memories of the place. Me and a friend who I got involved with it all both said recently that we'd love to go back and do it all again, it was such a cool game back when it was highly active. I'll never forget the scene where I went to get paid for a hit I did, only to find out I was about to have a hit put on me in return. "Your new rifle is in the basement if you want to go get it..", he said. Yeah, so was the hitman! I managed to kill the hitman but was then trapped in this basement for the whole day - I went through 3 different admins and so much stress I couldn't sleep for three days.  Grin But against all odds I managed to survive and come out on top - leaving the place was like a scene from a movie, blanket around the shoulders, police rushing back and fore, blue lights flashing. Awesome.  Smiley I think it was the character before Leaphorn that pulled me out of that place in one piece.

Yeah, so the characters I remember playing were:
Angelina - I think that was her name. She was meant to be a musician/singer but got dragged into the seedier side of Seattle life. i.e. Shooting people. Was in the scene above. It was also the name I took for my admin character, which had a short life but I managed to do a few plots and random scenes. One was about Bug Spirits, another was a bunch of critters released from a Research Facility which included a Dragon flying over the Barrens. Great fun. Also played Autumn, who changed to Winter with a bit of modification, thanks to someone hunting her down. Good character that one, crazy Shadowrunner. Then there were all the rather bland characters who were more social than Shadowrunners; Alicia, Talia, etc. There were many others but its so long ago I can't remember. I remember a Decker I had a lot of fun with, she was the complete opposite to the normal beautiful bimbo you see people play. She had acne, asthma, a runny nose and geeky clothing. Can't remember her name though.

The most amusing character for me to play was Alicia McGregor, a teen simstar who talked and acted just like Alicia Silverstone from that Clueless movie. That was actually hard to play too, because I had to play out what she was saying in my head before I typed it out. "It was like, ya know, like.. totally buggin'!".  Tongue I tried to get her into the whole Decker thing, but it didn't work out. And her life ended when the Yakuza decided one day to kill her. I never did find out why. Probably irritated them with her, "Whatever! Like..".

There were some great people around at that time though. A few I remember were Dr. John Nash, Goldeneyes, Leaphorn (the singer he played later was awesome), Lilith, Grant.. argh, memory failing me.. nope, memory gone. I remember lots of scenes, lots of players, but the names are a blank.

Ah well. Is this game ever going to come back up? Will it ever reach the dizzy heights of yester-year? I hope so. I'd love to return and find it as alive and entertaining as all those years ago.

I remember Tracy letting me and another player pull off a 'Seattle Music Hall Heist'.  I got to blast Nash with a Colt M22A2 in the leg!  Woohoo.
