When the chips are down... yell BINGO!

Yup, that's them.  And no wonder your girlfriend likes 'em.  One, the music is great.  Two, the lead singers voice is to die for.  Three, their frigging HOT!  Grin

I'm done drooling now.

I don't know any of those bands, Dream. On an unrelated note, The Dresden Dolls are like a sexytime explosion. You should all check them out. Now.

My sister loves the Dresden Dolls. I like what I've heard of 'em, which isn't much.

I'm looking at what I have on my shelf and none of it seems very Shadowrun.

Ooooh.... They look spiffy.

They really are. You should check out the songs Backstabber, Girl Anachronism, and Coin Operated Boy. They make me grin. The lead singer's voice is just... Amazing. She can go from perfectly level and waifish to screaming like a banshee in a split second, and then back again.

So I was going through my music library the other day and I found a few things that might make good Shadowrun music. Not a lot of my musical tastes lend well to distopian futures, but hey.

"You're a Woman, I'm a Machine" by Death From Above 1979
"Punk" by Gorillaz
"Fight!" by Art Brut
"18,000 Lira" also by Art Brut (for the Shadowrun gone awry!)
"Just a Killer For Your Love" by Blur
"That's When I Reach For My Revolver" by Graham Coxon

I'm going to have to check those things out.

I used to listen to the Sound Track for Children of Dune (Sci-Fi channel original release) while decking. As for sprawl music I am old school I guess, liked to have Billy Idol going, The Cult, Machines of Loving Grace, etc.

I'll have to say that I find several tracks from Serial Experiments Lain to fit well. 'Just Like a Lizard' always reminded me of a sit down.

All American Rejects I've discovered is good running music.

And Crazy Bitch by Buck Cherry would be the perfect soundtrack to blowing someones brains out.   Grin

"Jerk-Off" by Tool:

"Someone told me once
that there's a right and wrong,
and that punishment
would come to those
who dare to cross the line.

But it must not be true
for jerk-offs like you.
Maybe it takes longer to catch a total asshole.
but I'm tired of waiting.
Maybe it's just bullshit and I should play GOD,
and shoot you myself.
Because I'm tired of waiting.

Consequences dictate
our course of action
and it doesn't matter what's right.
It's only wrong if you get caught.
If consequences dictate
my course of action
I should play GOD
and shoot you myself.
I'm very tired of waiting.

I should
kick you,
beat you,
fuck you,
and then shoot you in your fucking head."
