I've been 'lurking' around the NSF's for a bit now and I have decided to create an account. So for my first bit I figure I should contribute in some way, and this is what I came up with:

Each of these characters is what I feel to be a facet of Shadowrunning in SR4. Why did I feel the need to do this? Well partially because I remmeber the lack-luster SR3 Sample Characters and...This is all I could think of

Oh, as a note, there was a similar project done on Dumpshock, except the poster was rewriting the available Sample Characters.

I suppose there is only one real question than, that I have.  Why the firewall and various other traits at a rating of 6?  The highest that the firewall is going to matter is that of the system rating, and the highest the system rating matters is that of the Response of the commlink.  In addition, you have a few rating 6 programs which could only be ran on the commlink you've got built IF the person runs an active Reality Filter and wins versus the opposing node.  At which point, however, you would need the program Reality Filter.  Otherwise you've got a lot of programs and stats on the commlink that actually don't matter (as they aren't effective gamewise beyond your response).

  When I get home tonight, I'll post the stats I've come up with so far on the char I want to run.  He's a "retired" electrical engineer who earned a black mark among corp think tanks, and so can not get another well-paying job.  He spends most of his time running his Electronics Sales/Repair store, but scams the occasional maglock (assuming that is still the correct term) for runner teams to make some extra cred.
