So, happy Labor Day everyone. (Unless you're not a Yank, in which case happy September 7.) In our perpetual pursuit of giving you things to do, we on the New Seattle staff are currently concocting something resembling a story arc to play in the background of your MUSH experience. We'll have more details for you in a bit, but to guide us in crafting it we'd like to ask: Which of these naturally occurring Shadowrun dichotomies excites you the most?

Feel free to suggest others if you think you can rally enough support for them, and thank you for your input! :cookie:

Oh, and I think we'll probably do a runoff between the two highest vote-getters, so don't feel like you're wasting your vote if you choose something unlikely to win.

If we put up furries vs humans, it will encourage the furries to come defend themselves and represent. Best to leave that one off the list else we have FurryRun instead of ShadowRun.

But /every/ MU* is FurryMU*. One that doesn't seem like one just lacks a majority of furries.

Seriously, one day you're playing on a Star Trek MU, and then /BAM/. 1/3 of the players are anthropomorphic animals.

So you're saying that is what you want?

I'm simply saying that this is the reality of the situation.

Fear not. Rheiv isn't entirely correct.

Yes, once a MU* grows past a certain size, the furries fall upon it.

But they can be contained through vigilant defensive measures - in our case, perhaps a ban on SURGE and shapeshifters - once we reach the point where Furries become an issue.

But first we'd need to grow.

You'd have to do some pretty aggressive houseruling to keep the furries out, considering that there are multiple ways to en-fur yourself.  You can get geneware phenotype adjustments, as well as various pieces of cosmetic cyber and bioware.  You can also cast Shapechange to turn yourself into an actual animal.  And I dunno if Penta was serious, but we shouldn't go banning things just to try and control who plays our game.  If something gets banned, there should be a reason, whether it's game balance or theme or rarity.  Though Penta was probably just kidding, so no big deal.

I was kidding, yes.

In truth, the furries...They're growing pains for any MU*. You grow out of it.

Which comes first, the furries or the sexers?

Uh...you guys are free to vote for None of the Above, but please do speak up as to what you'd prefer. (Even if it's "DIAF, Waf.")
