1 question, 1 comment.

Q: What is a "public space"?

C: I'm pretty sure you know this, but in case you don't, one of FanPro's priority projects (I'm not going to post rumored publishing order here, we know that's not reliable) is the settings book, which updates Seattle and adds Hong Kong as well as a number of blurbs on other settings.

It was farther down the list.  PC rented public area, like a gun shop, bowling alley, or hairdressers.

Having just picked up the new Shadowrun novel, I saw that there is a club that could be included.  The name is UNDERWORLD 93.  The general description is:

The building was a converted warehouse: huge, blocky, and made of gray plasticrete pocked with scars and chips and liberally decorated with graffiti, which only added to its character as a fixture of the Seattle nightclub scene.

Basically, it's a poser club for the corp-babies and a hangout for the regulars.  There is a further description of the interior so...if we decide to add it, just ask and I'll send it along.

UG93 is an old club. In the canon source books, it exists in Puyallup, rather than Redmond, as I understand it. And by the way, it exists in Redmond already on our current grid. Wink

There is a club called UG 93 on the grid in Redmond but that's the only simularity between the two things. Smiley  It's supposed to be a place with the hottest music and crud.  When we get around to doing P-yup, it's got my vote if it's done right.

To go back to in posts, I like the firing range or junk yard.  Junk yard slightly more than firing range right now as you could line up rusted cans on a post in the junk yard and use it as a firing range. Smiley

I like the junkyard idea too. And since I'm the one writing the desc, that's what I'll do :p

Narf, no complaining about the writing of a desc, Noor.  You do have desc jockeys who'd do it for you.

Maybe posting a thread on things we need done...?

I know this hasn't been touched in, well, forever but I'm reading old stuff so I know what's going on. There is one public space that nobody has mentioned, and it's a blasphemy not to damnit. We. Need. A. Stuffershack.

Stuffershacks are so much a part of SR it's not even funny, I still have fond memories of the very first edition SR book in 89, using that chart for 'random exploding stuffs' when people missed a shot and having stuff fly all over. Stuffershacks I assume might even be a hotzone in the matrix as EVERY product on the shelves screams out at you at once Smiley

We definately need a stuffershack. As for the Banshee and whatnot, we're wiping the slate clean right? So just have the Banshee be what it's supposed to be as it is has managed to make it through every edition right? Wrong? Or, better yet, have 'The Banshee' get purchased by a small corp or something or even a group of large corporations as neutral ground. It states many times in SR4 that the corporations know and expect Runners to do their jobs for them, they are inextricably joined together anymore. Just an idea.

But we definately need a stuffershack.

The Barrens grid has already been built. Sorry, maybe we can add one on for later. But people generally don't use them...

Throwing in my two cents on something that's likely already done, a stuffershack would rock hard, as would a park. That's all there is to say, really, all my points have already been articulated.
