Part 1, Session 1Players: Hellborn, Niho, Tank, Juliano (lost connection early on), Mickey ( couldn't continue was busy IRL early on)
The paper trail of protest posters get thicker around the Squatters Mall, where at 1600 the barkers of low-grade tech and chemfixes are as fiesty as ever. Lenny Greenleaf's manager, T. Burnett, is a mutt-faced human barking assignments to local gangers paid to be roadies. His commlink seems to blink as word is passed on that people have come in response to 'his ad'. T. Burnett stands up and sticks a smashed , frayed and heavily chewed cigar butt between his teeth, waiting for those interested to 'step forward.
A surly looking Ork street-type emerges from a nearby burned out building and gives the entire area a scrutinizing gaze. Juliano is dressed like a squatter. He doesn't look modified, either, and at first glance looks mostly useless in a fight save for his natural size. Still, he swaggers over towards T. Burnett , left hand rubbing one of his tusks. "Ey, Breeder! You hiring? Ha ha ha!" the boisterous laughter is followed by a good natured pat on the man's shoulder. "Names J n' I got experience - If'n ya got the yen to pay for it. 'therwise, ya can frag off and so can whoever yer employer is. Ha ha ha!"
T Burnett barks. "I needs ya to be as active security for the talent, yea? P'arrently .." He looks at J and nods as he approaches , then continues. "..parently there some sorta truce 'round these parts so I needs folk like ya who are newt 'round d'ese parts... All Ya's gotta do is make sure Lenny don' get in any drek, n' if ya gotta, ya get him outta here. If ya can grab me d'en I sure as 'ell hope do too, too much drek to worry 'bout. Pay's 16 kay to split
A shout comes from within the crowd. "Outta my way, runt!" Tank says, before his hand closes over the face of a shorter metahuman, shoving him backwards and out of his way. The large ork continues to muscle his way through the crowd, making no friends on his way to Mr. Burnett. He points a thumb at himself. "Here for work. You need protection, I protect, da?"
"Active security for some meatbag named Lenny. Got it, omae." Juliano pats the Ares Predator that is strapped to his hip and takes a step backwards from T. Burnett to allow others to approach and sign up. "Better not hire too many though, breeder! The fewer ways tha' 16 is split, the better. Ha ha ha!" The Ork leans up against a nearby building and lights up, casually watching the others who arrive and make their case.
Trailing behind the orc his ever-present companion Niho trails casually through the wake of destruction, being carefull not to be stepped on, or kicked accidentally. Looking up from his below-waist point of view and in broken English, "Also make work, Quetzalcoatl make safe for everyplace."
Hellborn shuffles in slowly. A kevlar mask is pulled down over his bandaged face. Cautiously, he works his way through the area until he, with a few questions to some of the 'workers', finds the manager. Being a lot less physically imposing than some, he doesn't draw in a lot of attention (other than what one might expect from being fully bandaged and wearing a mask) until he's nearby. A gloved hand makes a virtual burning 'business card' appear, which he 'tosses' towards Mr. Burnett.
T. Burnett nods while pulling the cigar stump outta his mouth, pointing at those who've stepped to the plate. Large Ork, Man with a gun, Somebody named Quincy Cuddles, n'd a late addition with a floating business card. " Fai'r , den. I like yer style, da four a ya....ya's step up to the challange. We'll talk payment after da gig, dis is da place, so hang out a bit. " He has id cards for everyone that say "BACKSTAGE ACCESS". " If ya wanna split up the roun' the place ya can, only concern is you better get our backs chums, dun' wan our talent out fendin fer himself, scan?"
Juliano takes a sharp drag on his cigarillo and exhales a cloud of sweet smelling smoke. His finger flicks the end , sending ashes to the dirty street. "Backstage, eh? Feel like a fraggin groupie! Ha ha ha." his free hand reaches out and accepts the pass, placing it around his neck on one of those standard elastic necklaces. "All official now, yeah?" The Ork's attention is suddenly drawn by the flaming business card that is flicked on to Burnett, but he doesnt comment. After a couple of seconds, he starts looking all around - Perhaps staring off into nothingness, but a certain degree of concentration is there.
Juliano pages: Any type of matrix stuff around here that could be used by a technomancer when the drek hits the fan? If the drek hits the fan? Just want to know what we'd be dealing with here. Cameras, perhaps, anything like that?
You paged Juliano with 'Around where the stage is set up feels more comfortable than the other spots around here. There are various commlinks here, but no public nexi, though T. Burnett might work with something more sophisticated aside from equipment for sound projection'.
Tank loads the backstage code into his commlink, before nodding his head. "Yes, yes. I be ready in minute, get equipment from back." He doesn't let anyone try to stop him, the large ork trekking his way to where he stashed his gear, in order to get some of the less available pieces to the gig in the first place.
Hellborn nods to Burnett, not saying a word as he takes his ID. The card is placed in the appropriate spot, and he glances around to get a feel for the area. The man isn't very talkative.
Niho takes the pass, and tucks in around his head over his robes, chuckling as he notices how disproportionatly large it seems on his frame. Looking up at the orc's near him he sidesteps the ash falling from above. The flaming buisness card trick catches his attention, and he stares for a moment at it's sender carefully, eventually looking around at the crowd with that same intense stare.
The stage is set, fairly minimally at that. It looks like Lenny's got a drummer to work with, who the manager never said anything about. Guess that's the price some of those backup guys pay for their way in the music world. Outside the squatters mall is starting to turn into a more vivid environment. People from the S.O.U have gathered and are organizing on the western side, where just north of that gathering crowd the drug peddlars are upping their ante and trying to plan their next big push through the crowd of their merchandise. After about an hour of solid , continuing support, the S.O.U crowd start chanting and displaying their picket signs. " More Rights 4 Ork Squatters" " S.O.U " and " SQUATTERS RIGHTS FOR ALL METAS" , chanting lame repeatables like "All in the gutter need to band to getter" and other mixed cries about fairness at the mall itself. Apparently this has been a growing issue of bias, but only on the squatter/customer level. The gangers and most of the venders have had little difficulty aside from the occasional 'sales tax', but even they are reaching their limit.
The counter protest starts to build on the south side of the stage. Yes, a counter protest. It seems that there's been alot of problems with META relations, blaming Crimson Crush and other local META toughs for poisoning the area with their drugs and violence. Of course, this reaches a nice stalemate of noise, just as Lenny arrives on scene by his own bike, guitar strapped to his back. He pulls up right next to the stage and parks, observing the crowd.
Juliano flicks his cigarillo onto the ground and heads over towards the stage area upon spotting the arrival of Lenny. Judging by the flaming *CRUSH* tattoo on the Ork's arm, he's clearly not going to be sympathetic to the cause of the counter protestors. His right hand lingers near his weapon - as discretely as possbible, not wanting to alarm anyone or incite chaos. Cold eyes scan from left to right, lingering on various areas around the stage. He seems relaxed and calm even with these rather chaotic conditions.
Lenny looks at those who are near the stage wearing the backstage passes and nods to himself a bit, hopping off his bike. Not too shabby of a yamaha growler, at that. The musician stands and leans on his bike as he digs for a nicstick, lights it, and sorta stares off on his own too.
Tank isn't hiding what he's there for. He's got his Remington 950 in one hand, propped up against his shoulder. He's still backstage, not yet stepping out into view of the public just yet.
Niho takes up watch from near the stage, positioning himself behind a few overflowing garbage cans, in an area adjacent to the crowd, while being devoid of people to block his vision of the crowd. He rubs his hands together casually, and mumbles a few words to himself while scanning the audience again.
<OOC> Osprey says, "Oh and do me a favor, for the logs sake. Make an +ooc statement of what your rolling before the roll, it'll save me time

<OOC> Niho says, "Sure, rolling my Magic + Assensing right?"
<OOC> Osprey says, "Intuition + Assensing"
<OOC> Niho says, "Ok, 3+4, rolling 7 dice for assensing"
GAME: Niho rolls 7 dice: 1 2 3 3 4 5 5 (2 Hits) <+roll/verify <pass> to set verify>
You paged Niho with 'you have a strong feeling that there are magical presences at this gathering. Near you, it seems that hellborn ebbs with magical aura, and it seems like there might be a flicker coming from Lenny as well. Other hints come from further out, but it could be any of the gangers or protesters gathered, too tough to tell'.
Hellborn stands behind the stage watching things set up.
The stage is completely set up, and the ganger roadies have gone back to mingling amongst the other crowds gathered in watching the dueling protests. Vendors on the north east side, the drug dealers still on the north west side. The stage is closer to these groups than the western and southern crowds arguing about who deserves to really call the shots , to an extent, at the mall. Tensions are flaring but things aren't reckless, it seems to be mostly a gathering of spirit. One of the S.O.U folk is approaching Lenny, who's still off to the side of the stage closer to Niho, finishing his smoke. T. Burnett has walked away for now, attending to payment biz most likely.
Mickey uses his vision magnification to scan the crowd and the stage. Not liking what he sees, he convinces most of the Devil Rats in blue leather jackets to abandon the anti-meta counter-protest. The shaven-bald breeders in blue leave the South side of the stage and move further away from the crowd.
Tank keeps his guard up, watching the crowd from backstage. He keeps his rifle in hand, not yet stepping out onto the stage. When the man starts to approach Lenny, though, Tank is moving immediately to intercept the man.
Niho watches intently, looking for anyone else in the crowd that seems aware of the person approaching Lenny. Seeing Tank step to intercept the individual, he tenses up, preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.
Hellborn looks around the makeshift group. He starts to set up his comm frequency when he notices Tank departing. After a quick glance to see what's going on, he follows Tank on his way to Lenny.
The S.O.U member, a younger ork with wire-rim spectacles, pauses to adjust them on his nose as he peers at Tank and his weapon.....letting out a loud gulp. He speaks... " Hello Brother, just comin' to announce why we're 'ere and thankin Lenny there on makin it. " The ork looks at Hellborn also, getting a little nervous. He clears his throat to prevent stammering and continues. " I'm gonna make the announcement now, so just tell him he's gotta go on stage in the next ten minutes...
Tank grunts and points a thumb at Lenny. "Tell him yourself, kid. I do security, not messages. Got my eye on you, no funny business, or I send you back to your parents in a cardboard box, da?" He takes a step to the side, giving the wire-rim kid a glare as he waits for him to go by.
The ork kid nods and goes to chat with lenny, who seems alot less nervous when he gets to talk to the musician. They laugh a little and Lenny nods, waving the kid off, who rushes past Tank with a quick 'thankyou' before heading back to his protest group. Lenny approaches tank , now. " Hey.... so how are you guys gonna watch this place? I don't know if anything will really happen, T's always overworried...Just make sure nobody throws anything at me, I hate that drek, if I get some garbage thrown by one of those Humanist punks It'll ruin the performance...."
Hellborn shakes his head slightly, but doesn't comment. He just grabs a comm frequency, and 'hands' it to Tank in AR. The eyes, of course, are following the S.O.U. member.
<OOC> Niho says, "I'm probably not in earshot, but theres a chance my earbuds picked that up, could I shake it?"
<OOC> Osprey says, "Thats fine"
<OOC> Niho says, "Rolling Perception+Int+Gear bonus to catch his concern."
GAME: Niho rolls 9 dice: 1 1 2 2 3 3 4 4 6 (1 Hit) <+roll/verify <pass> to set verify>
You paged Niho with 'you heard make sure and throw, but thats mostly it... not too great of a roll there =P'.
Niho pages: I should have bought 2 /facepalm. Thanks : )
You paged Niho with 'hehe issok, you can always await orders from your other group members'.
Niho pages: I speak English at a one, that's about the best I'd get anyway
<OOC> Osprey says, "So let's look at what's gonna happen. Lenny is about to go on stage, you guys are gonna set up how? as before?"
Tank shrugs his shoulders. "Not many of us. No guarantee about garbage. Will see if we can do something, da?" He sends the request to Niho over the commlink, knowing he might be able to do something about it. He looks at Hellborn. "Name is Tank. Who are you, you good for anything, or just meat shield for garbage?"
<OOC> Tank says, "Oh no, Tank is gonna be visible. He's the message that there isn't just security, but they're packing heat."
<OOC> Niho says, "From my position I'm aiming to have a good view of the crowd, and the stage. Most of the things I'll need to do just require good Line of Sight."
<OOC> Hellborn says, "I'm thinking that we're going to need a game plan. Probably a strategy for getting Lenny out of there when things start hitting the fan."
<OOC> Tank says, "Mmhmm. Usually straight out the back is a good way to do it, since we've got the crowd in front of us, going through them would be tough."
<OOC> Tank says, "Should pull it like any other concert. Pull him backstage into a car and go."
<OOC> Osprey says, "Any of you guys have transport? Lenny has his bike, which is near the stage, but T Burnett's ride is parked elsewhere"
<OOC> Tank says, "Nope, Tank is on foot."
<OOC> Hellborn spent his money on his commlink.

<OOC> Niho says, "Niho can't reach the pedals =P I'm a big supporter of Bi-pedal manual transportation"
<OOC> Osprey says, "Anyone good with a yamaha growler? heh"
<OOC> Tank can drive.
<OOC> Hellborn says, "How are they getting stuff around the show? They have to have some sort of transport."
<OOC> Osprey says, "Its not far off, its by one of the exits, they had the gangers move the stuff from there"
The area has two larger exits, a southwest exit to the highways outta this section of the 'rens and an eastern exit that was the main gate of the old mall, leading to the body mall entrance not far off. The stage itself is directly in the middle, but closer to the northern end of the terrain. The crowds are gather southwest and south of the stage itself, completely blocking off the southwest exit. The fencing on the north side is pretty worn out and the debris behind it might have a path or two to offer if need be outta here. Gangers, specifically crimson crush near the S.O.U and Halloweeners near the counter protest are standing around watching as the crowds hear word of the show about to start. The eastern exit is where T. Burnetts convoy is parked and has a few random gangers and squatters not involved in the protests cluttering up the exit, but not nearly as bad as the southwest area.
Hellborn shakes his head at Tank, then uses his subvocal mike to tell him, "No ... magic ... support." The man's eyes follow Lenny, extending his magical support around him before moving back towards the others. He starts handing out the comm frequency to the others.
Hellborn hands the comm sig to Niho, and then begins talking to the man in English. Fortunately, it's over the comm. "You ... magic ... type?" he asks in his broken, forced way, "Not ... look ... like Sam."
Lenny steps on stage , plugging his guitar into the amplification setup by his 'crew', and adjusting his commlink to apparently subscribe to whatever is controlling his hardware. His sweet and misplaced acoustic blues guitar sends emotions of a texture foreign, yet comforting to the inhabitants of the squatters mall, even if just for a second. The numbers who've come out for this even are quite surprising.
Niho responds to the breathtakingly easy to translate question with some ... unfortunate English. "Magic yes, make magic."
<OOC> Osprey says, "WE're just gonna assume lenny's really pouring his heart out. " It's alright, this is now the moment I request perception rolls, I have an idea where everyone is to an extent so youmight see different things"
<OOC> Niho says, "Ok, my roll is 2+4, will I receive the +3 from enhanced vision and audio?"
<OOC> Osprey says, "You're too close to the stage, the music isn't gonna help your audio."
<OOC> Niho says, "Visual then?"
<OOC> Osprey says, "Pose what general area you're looking at, then roll and i'll page details to each of you"
<OOC> Osprey says, "Then something will happen soon maybe

"
<OOC> Hellborn says, "This is why sound filters are good. Tune out the music.

"
<OOC> Hellborn is watching the stage, the crowd near Lenny, and Lenny (of course). He should be summoning a spirit right about now.
Niho scans through the crowd again, looking in particular at the anti-meta protest groups for anyone who might have a weapon, or might be looking at an odd place, like a roof-top or window of a nearby building.
<OOC> Tank rolls his perception. No special modifiers, int+per for 6.

Hellborn keeps his attention on Lenny, extending his magical protection to him, while watching those who might get too close to Lenny.
Tank is watching over the crowd from his spot on stage, on the west side. He's there to hold off the crowd as best he can. Just a few moments would be enough to get Lenny out if need be.
<OOC> Hellborn makes his perception roll, "Only low-light and thermal. Int 4 + Per 2 so 6."
GAME: To (Hellborn, Osprey) Hellborn rolls 6 dice: 2 5 5 6 6 6 (5 Hits) <+roll/verify <pass> to set verify>
You paged Tank with 'You notice that there are a group of Crimson Crush Members who are gathered near the S.O.U protest and they seem to be interested in something, as they occasionally glance at the other protest and jab a thumb in their direction.'.
You paged Hellborn with 'excellent roll. You notice theres a crowd of both protest groups heading towards the stage, looks like just to listen. They hang back from the set up perimeter, especially where tank is standing, and not posing any threats. There are, however, a group of people who seem to be meeting in one spot...each from a different part of the crowd but all wearing the same expression about them.'.
Hellborn pages: What do you mean by expression?
You paged Hellborn with 'same sort of panicked look in their face, and their standing together and staring at Lenny. its very odd'
<OOC> Niho says, "Ok, I'm rolling 9 dice for a visual perception of the crowd I described in my pose

"
GAME: Niho rolls 9 dice: 2 3 3 3 4 4 4 5 6 (2 Hits) <+roll/verify <pass> to set verify>
You paged Niho with 'you notice there are some rougher types who seem to be part of a local gang, sporting some hand razors and some clubs, they seem to be eyeing somebody up but its not in the direction of lenny'.
<OOC> Tank says, "Don't think it matters if you do them privately or not, at least for rolls we're all involved in."
<OOC> Niho says, "I sort of came to that conclusion"
<OOC> Tank says, "Yeah lol"
<OOC> Hellborn says, "I only made mine private cause I thought that's what we were doing. Heh."
<OOC> Tank did, too, just cuz.
<OOC> Osprey says, "It's on the roller, either way we get it for the log, if you want it to be a mystery then roll private"
Niho highlights the individuals sporting Hand-razors and clubs in the crowd over AR, and broadcasts it via the groups security frequency. "Could be make trouble." Comes over the commlink's mic as it loads.
Hellborn makes a quick 'drawing' with his AR gloves, making an ARO that points towards one part of the crowd. He sends this over the comms with the comment, "What ... with ... these guys?"
Tank makes sure to notify the rest of the team over their comm about the group of Crimson Crush members motioning towards the S.O.U. protesters that they're gathering closer to.
<OOC> Tank corrects his pose. The Crush members are motioning towards the anti-meta protesters, not the S.O.U.
Over the comms, Hellborn says, "We ... have ... spririt ... backup?"
Tank repeats it in Russian for Niho, making sure that he's got the question right. Tank keeps his eyes on the crowd, making sure that no one gets too close to the stage. Over the comms, he says, "Listen. I give no drek for crowd. Tear eachother to peices, for all I care. Lenny is target, is only concern. We paid for him. We paid by manager, get him out, too. If crowd get rough, get Lenny out, let rest of world burn, da?"
Niho hesitates, and responds over the link, "Yes, I agree. The crowd's not our problem until it becomes a riot. If it riots, we grab Lenny and the manager and dip out, drek with anyone else.
Lenny continues his performance, the drummer never showing up but the artist doesn't care. He takes a second to break a beer bottle left over by one of the gangers and slides the broken neck through his finger, showing off how 'they did it in the old days' and playin a wailin' slide, really captivating some of the bigger fans. MOst of the crowds attention has pulled from the protest itself and is solely focused on the show.
You paged Hellborn with 'you still see those guys , standing and staring...they've moved to the closest edge of the crowd, not even taking a glance at Tank... can't see you though, either, just Lenny'.
Tank is keeping his focus on the protests, through, along with the line of the stage. Anyone who manages to get up on stage is going to meet Tank, not Lenny. For now, though, he keeps off to the side, not getting in the way of the show, but providing an intimidating air to the stage any anyone thinking about doing something stupid.
Niho pans astrally across the crowd astrally again, looking at the potential issue in the crowd carefully before sending another message to tank via translate, "If someone starts shooting I'm going to hide Lenny first, then provide an extra layer of bullet protection for you if neccessary."
Hellborn repoints out the group he pointed out before over comm. "I can ... throw ... some protection, too. Can ... you ... assense ... these guys?"
You paged Niho with 'a section in the front crowd has a strange aura about them, a steady and nauseating blue....4 of them share this trait and are at the front of the stage, must be the ones hellborn is talking about'.
<OOC> Niho says, "Assensing the crowd hellborn pointed out, Rolling Int+Assens of 7 dice total."

Niho speaks again over the comms, this time in broken english. "four men in front, give bad impres... bad thing." He creates an ARO directing everyone to the 4 people he's talking about, and begins to motion subtley with his hands, muttering under his breath.
<OOC> Niho says, "Yeah, you're right. Ok, so I'm at a -2 for translate, casting armor with 6 dice total on Lenny."

You paged Hellborn with 'niho is referring to your folk , you guys seem to be agreeing on something in this crowd at least'.
Niho speaks a few key words, and gestures a hand flat out in front of himself, concentrating hard as he wills a faint, shimmering white light to pulse dimly around Lenny's body, in time with a heartbeat.
The crowd ooos as lenny sings and seems to shimmer before them. "Wizzer effects! Mojo or somethin else?" mutters some louder fan. It seems that some shouting can be heard on the far end of the crowd near the southwest exit, furthest from the stage.

<OOC> Niho says, "I'm focusing it on lenny first and formost, only assisting the others if they're in direct LOS."
(To: Niho and Osprey) Tank pages: If he throws it, I'm gonna try to shoot it in the air before its over the stage, lol.

You paged Niho and Tank with 'hrmm good point... that's one service, yes?'.
(To: Niho and Osprey) From afar, Tank nods, it would be.
(To: Osprey and Tank) Niho pages: Yes, one of two
(To: Osprey and Tank) Niho pages: continual power use, is one service. so accidenting that guy over and over is more accurate
You paged Niho and Tank with 'Alright, tank you pose over the comm and niho, please communicate with your spirit.. you want him to keep failing? if he drops it it'll be a hot mess on his feet from the start'.
You paged Niho with 'we'll roll the test after the pose, and ill post the result'.
(To: Niho and Osprey) Tank pages: Well, it could drop and break, start burning in the crowd, or just explode in his hand or something. Hahaha.
Niho pages: If he drops it at his feet, and keeps accidenting, not my problem omae

How do you want me to handle communicating with the spirit?
Niho laughs at the obvious ill-advised attack, and focuses for a moment, posing a request to the wise and powerfull spirit of quetzalcoatl, before turning back to oversee the spirits efforts and make certain nothing is thrown at Lenny.

Tank peers over the crowd, growling as he spots someone trying to light a bottle. In english he says, "Danger up front, man with fire." He highlights it on the AR. When he sees Niho taking action, the ork chuckles softly. "Looks like Niho has it, da?"
Some members of the crowd in front of the stage start to panic and shuffle, exposing a man lighting a molotov cocktail. his face still shows the same expression, but it turns to worry as he realizes his arm has caught fire from the liqour soaked rag! If only he had been more careful! Tha man franttically shakes out his arm, flinging the lit molotov in front of the stage instead of onto it, and desperately tries to get the fire out. Surprisingly, the other 3 members are devoid of noticing and still stare at lenny... other members of the crowd have left the strange men by themselves. Man on fire is still frantic, and the flames in front of the stage might be an issue if left unattended...
Lenny notices and steps back, trying not to miss a note in his performance. He looks like he's gonna wrap things up quickly at this rate, and starts to look around while he sings...
Niho nods at Lenny, with his best look of assurance. "Tank, I can't do much about the fire from here, might want to keep an eye on the other three once they realize the attack is failing."
<OOC> Hellborn says, "How big is the fire? And are the others attempting something similar?"
You paged Hellborn with 'its burning on the ground in front of the stage, but the stage hasnt caught yet. I'm about to pose what they're gonna do'.
Tank chuckles. "Can not put out fire with bullets," he says in english, "Might need to take bigger action."
<OOC> Hellborn says, "magic 4 + spellcasting 4 + manipulation spec 2 + mentor spirit 2 for a total of 12 dice. BTW, how big is the fire 'force wise'?"

Hellborn focuses his energy in the mana. On the astral, his inner fire burns brighter as it seeks a connection with the flames in the audience. The spell feeds itself into the flames ... and suddenly the flames start picking themselves up off of the ground. They are now floating into mid air! The flames form into a little man, who proceeds to scold the man with his 'finger'.
Tank chuckles as he watches the fire-man scold the guy on fire. The big ork grins, resting his rifle on his should as he goes back to watching the crowd, keeping an eye out for any other trouble that might be going on.
The crowd that isn't leaving finds that to be very entertaining, and the men in front start to 'snap out of it, standing there, now, befuddled. The man on fire finally puts his out and they start to discuss amongst themselves...... Further southwest, its clear that two sets of three gangers are in an all out brawl, so the crowd is shifting away from the squatters mall from multiple sides. Lenny is wrapping up a song and announces he's gonna take a break soon, then puts his guitar down to light a smoke, nervously watching the southwest. He steps offstage and demands where T. Burnett is, who's nowhere to be found. The men who have come back to their senses seem to have a direct purpose, and begin sweeping south and east, through the moving crowd. They are following to the exit, but appear to be looking for somebody
Niho stops laughing, and thinks hard for a moment after taking it all in. "Now might be a good time to ask lenny how well he knows T. Burnett. Something feels very very wrong here, and I don't like the looks of this. Get ready to move fast if what I think is going on is true." comes from everyones commlink as Niho starts rapidly speaking in portugese. Almost as an afterthought, in broken English, "Something not make right smell, get ready make go."
Theres a stillness in the air, and from the east growls are being heard. The men who were acting odd have confronted some Crimson Crush gangers on that side, specifically a one tusked rasrafari ork, who is surrounded by 4 other gangers. They are arguing, and the dreadlocked ork is just laughing. Crush gangers surround the human folk, and reach up close... theres a flash of steel....
Hellborn manipulates the energy in his spell, crushing out the fire into a puff of harmless smoke. Playing with fire in front of a master of flame manipulation is a foolish thing to do, it would seem. The flames, and the spell, now gone the bandaged man moves to join up with Niho (and Tank, if he's near). "Agreed," he replies to Niho, "Who ... are those ... guys? Besides ... trouble."
Tank grumbles to himself as he walks over to the edge of the stage, nearest the group surrounding the ork, and fires a round into the air to get attention. Then, he aims the smoking barrel at the group. "Break it up, or I break you up!" In Russian, over the translate spell, he says, "Niho, find Lenny, get him ready to get out of here." In English, over comms, he says, "Da. Definitely trouble, get ready." All the while he keeps his rifle aimed steadily at the brawling metahumans. Hopefully they've stopped and he doesn't have to shoot one of them.
.....the men are stabbed in their throats. The rastafari ork turns towards the exit and the crush gangers, with a wild look in their eye, are trotting towards the stage, laughing ot themselves and eyes seem to be on you guys....Firebombs like the men had in front of the stage start to fly..... Halloweener re-inforcements have shown up in the southwest and are pushing the other crush gangers towards the stage in that direction. Seems like the two groups of Crimson Crush Gangers are acting on different motives, though... one group fleeing and one charging....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
<OOC> Osprey says, "Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd"
<OOC> Tank says, "I'm firing."
<OOC> Osprey says, "Freeze!"
<OOC> Hellborn does flames, not ice.

<OOC> Tank should've brought a frag grenade.
<OOC> Osprey says, "So here's the situation, which has taken probably too long to build to.
Halloweeners are now pushing Crimson Crush Gangers towards the stage area from teh southwest. The crowds who were just protesting are beginning to FLEE now and not just leave the concert. From the east, the 4 charging Crimson Crush Gangers with knives are coming atcha, but don't seem to be working with the ones who were in the brawl and are retreating. You guys are in the middle."
<OOC> Hellborn brought a flash-bang grenade.

<OOC> Tank says, "Haha. I should sling my rifle over my shoulder and pull out the claymore, see what those gangers think of that one."
<OOC> Tank is, by the way, on the east, where the guys were stabbed, no.
<OOC> Tank says, "*now"
<OOC> Hellborn says, "Wait ... the crush are charging us? I thought they were charging the halloweeners?"
<OOC> Niho says, "I'm positive those 4 aren't really crush."
<OOC> Tank says, "The halloweeners are charging the crush ont he west, the four ont he east are charging us."
<OOC> Hellborn prefers Sunkist, anyways.

<OOC> Tank says, "Either way, they have to deal with me, and it ain't gonna be pretty for them."
<OOC> Osprey says, "Yes, im sorry if im still not being concise enough"
<OOC> Niho says, "It's just a big picture, you're doing a great job man"
<OOC> Tank says, "Yeah, big picture is fine, we'll get more details as we need 'em."
<OOC> Hellborn says, "That's what questions are for.

Carry on."
<OOC> Tank also loves that he gets 7 boxes of damage before he takes a +1. XD
<OOC> Niho says, "Ok, well can I see Lenny from my spot? I'm not sure I'd be able to see backstage from my vanatage point, but I could definitely see the 4 guys running at us with knives."
<OOC> Hellborn says, "Can we see Lenny?"
<OOC> Osprey says, "hehe alrighty, we're comin along pretty nicely. I'd say you guys have a round before the crush from the east reach you, and two rounds before the crush from the southwest reach you, and 5 rounds before the halloweeners swarm the place. Correct niho, i believe hellborn is the only one close enough to lenny... unless J pops on right now"
<OOC> Tank says, "Yeah, someone has to get Lenny outta here. Our exit is to the south-east, isn't it?"
<OOC> Osprey says, "Due east, almost through the charging orks"
<OOC> Tank says, "Right, we'll go through the charging orks, then."
<OOC> Niho says, "I'm going to expend my last spirit's service, and ask him to kill them. The east is our best exit."
<OOC> Osprey says, "Hold on, what power/spell is he going to use?"
<OOC> Tank says, "Man, I wish I was Locust right now, so I could say something cool like 'I eat metahumans for breakfast'. Hah."
<OOC> Niho says, "No power or spell, I'm asking him to manifest and kill them with his 'hands'"
<OOC> Hellborn is going to go attempt to grab Lenny, and lead him towards safety.
<OOC> Tank says, "It means we have a manifested spirit in in initiative, as well."
<OOC> Osprey says, "alright, this round is free pose , next round starts inits. yep"
<OOC> Tank will shoot orks.
<OOC> Tank is going to shoot one of the charging orks.
<OOC> Hellborn says, "Actually, he's just giving the spirit a command. It'll use any power or attack it deems necessary to carry out that command."
<OOC> Niho says, "Yeah that's true"
<OOC> Tank says, "Or should I just let the spirit deal with them, and get on protecting us from the west?"
<OOC> Osprey says, "Hrmm keep talking it out before we start, whats the plan?"
<OOC> Niho says, "I'm just asking it to ensure those 4 die. How it chooses to go about that, is entirely it's buisness"
<OOC> Hellborn says, "You can always hold your action, see how the spirit does, and then clean house. I think we have enough baddies.

"
<OOC> Niho says, "I'm going to do my one pre-iniative pose here I think"
<OOC> Tank says, "Nah, I'm not about cleaning house, I'm about staying alive."
<OOC> Tank says, "There's a difference between enough and too many, even Tank can get overwhelmed."
<OOC> Hellborn says, "Where is our 'escape vehicle'?"
<OOC> Tank says, "To the east, past the orks that are about to become burn victims."
<OOC> Osprey says, "Well the bike is right near teh stage, that's lennys ride here. Apparently T. Burnett has a vehicle to the east but he's nowhere to be found"
<OOC> Tank says, "Which is also the direction opposite the horde of angry metahumans, and the halloweeners pushing them towards the stage."
<OOC> Tank says, "So, you guys go east, Tank will go west and hold off as much as he can before bringing up the rear."
<OOC> Osprey says, "and you have the spirit dealing with the 4 gangers charging from the east?"
<OOC> Tank says, "Just give me cover and I'll be fine long enough that all of us should get out okay."
<OOC> Tank says, "He should, yeah."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Niho shakes his head, and resolves to do something very unpleasant. Asking the spirit to destroy the 4 beings charging in Niho's direction with weapons(The 4 crush from the east) before speaking into the Comm's, "Tank, I have to drop translate now. We'll figure it out after the carnage. Lets get lenny the hell out of here."
<OOC> Niho says, "I'm dropping translate, and turning my attention of the 4 crush in the way of our job."
<OOC> Hellborn Is heading after Lenny, "Is he hard to find? Do I have to roll anything? Or can I find him in my one pose?"
Tank nods his head, turning and facing the west. "Da, good idea comrade." He lifts his rifle, aiming it for any living thing that's coming in his direction with a weapon drawn. First one he sees in his crosshair, he pulls the trigger.
<OOC> Osprey says, "You're near him, he's just backstage"
<OOC> Osprey says, "Sport rifle? ah got it, its in arsenal"
<OOC> Niho says, "brb"
<OOC> Tank says, "Yeah. Its 8P, -1 AP, SS(its the 990 that's SA), no RC(but I get -1 because of my STR), and 5(m) for ammo."
<OOC> Osprey says, "Well its definately in that rifles short range, +2 for smartlink, only about 2000 hours maybe theres still partial light so -2 for normal vision"
Hellborn turns and bolts backstage after Lenny. He grabs him by the elbow, "Evacuate ... NOW!!!" He motions towards the prearranged direction. "What if ... vehicle ... sabataged? Got ... backup?"
<OOC> Tank says, "Right. So I'm rolling... 11 dice. 8+2(smartlink)+1(aim)."
<OOC> Tank says, "And, side-note, 3 shots left before reload."

Tank pulls the trigger on his rifle. Boom! The gunshot echos in the chaos, the barrel barely kicking back as the bullet is flung from it like a ho from her pimp's Cadillac. The bullet strikes him in the shoulder, digging in deep to the bone and making itself a nice home there with a yard and a guest house. The punk is flung backwards, right onto his ass, to lay there groaning in a pool of blood or start running for the -other- exit. Tank hopes the other gangers got the message, as he cocks his rifle and prepares to take another shot.
The elemental cracks into existence right as the charging, mad-eyed CrimCrush members have gotten within threatening distance to lenny and co. Hellborn is quick to act in his roll, utilizing Niho's move to lead their mark to safety. One of the orks is keeping their eye on Lenny and HEllborn however as they begin to step beyond his reach. The whimpering ganger Tank befriended via long distance relationship is crawling away as the yells of the building mass of Halloweeners begins to enevelop his blood-marred tracks...

The fire creature swings its arms at the lead ork coming in from the east, embers flickering in the growing night sky as it connects across the poor gangers shoulder, the smell of fire on flesh as the ork growls and steps back, his chums hesitant as the searing heat of the fire spirit looming above them, between the gangers and the stage.
<OOC> Tank says, "But anyway, lessee... I'm gonna run and shoot. Rolling 8 dice. Gonna try for one of the halloweeners this time, they're more dangerous than the other punks."

Tank chuckles as he catches a glimpse of the fire spirit out of the corner of his eye. He shuffles backwards a few meters, at the same time lifting his rifle to stare down the barrel again. He pulls the trigger, popping off another shot on a Halloweener, proving he doesn't discriminate when it comes to killing people. The bullet rips through his shoulder, as well, not killing the ganger, but rendering him practically useless to the rest of his buddies. "I think it is time we go, da comrades?"
<OOC> Niho says, "Ok, so I'm more worried about putting together another spirit. The other one is no longer bound to me, and I'm not sure we're out of the woods yet. Rolling Magic(5) + Summoning(3) = 8 Dice."

<OOC> Hellborn will toss a stun bolt at him from where he's standing, "I'm thinking force 7 should do it."

p hellborn= maybe your stunbolt knocks teh ganger back into one of his buddies?
You paged Hellborn with 'maybe your stunbolt knocks teh ganger back into one of his buddies?'.
You paged Hellborn with 'we'll do ganger 2 colliding with ganger 3 and knocking ganger 3 down, you can pose it if you'd like to include it with your spell pose'.
Hellborn spots the ganger running after himself and Lenny. Immediately, he begins channeling in the mana, which wraps around him like a firey volcano on the astral. On the physical you can see the muscles tense as he channels the obvious magic before reaching out as he tosses the spell. There is a twitch of disappointment as the spell leaves his body, as if he didn't like his spellwork. However, the spell does the trick as the ganger (#2) doubles up in pain, then suddenly he spasms backwards tumbling straight into his buddy (#3), knocking them both over into a mess of arms and legs. Hellborn blinks in surprise, "Better ... than ... think..."

<OOC> Tank says, "Imma pop two of the halloweeners."
Tank pages: Anything special for the glitches, or should I just off the two of 'em?
You paged Tank with 'yea they're fragged, especially the second one. The first one you can leave twitching a bit if you want but guy #2 is gotta hurt... heh'.
From afar, Tank has something awesome if he can kill the second one and wound another guy instead. XD
You paged Tank with 'what like a guy behind him? hrmm... its a magic bullet, i think only if you had a critical hit and he glitched could you do that'.
Tank pages: Well, he critical glitched, I was thinking it hit him someplace vulnerable with little resistance, like his neck. No big deal, though, Imma pose. XD
Tank keeps moving backwards, ignoring the heat from the fire spirit beating the crap out of the gangers nearby. He lifts his rifle again, firing off another shot. His hand moves like lightning to cock it for another shot, and before the first bullet hits its target, he's already set to shoot again. When the first bullet hits, it digs deep into the gut of a halloweener - from behind. The bullet rips out of his front, and he's left screaming on the ground, and clutching for his guts as they try to spill out of him. The target of his second shot sees it coming, though. In a panicked attempt to flee, he stumbles backwards into one of his buddies, knocking them both to the ground. The bullet misses both of them, instead hitting his long-time childhood friend, who's dead before he hits the ground.
<OOC> Osprey says, "Ok, we'll stop here before the next initiative roll. Tomorrow I can be on around 8-9ish EST, that ok with everyone?"
