I am interested.  I live in GMT-6 (Central time zone).  My best times are Tues-Wed & Friday 5pm-10pm, Sat 6pm-10pm, Sun 2pm-10pm.

I have only actually played 3rd edition for around half a year about 5 years ago.  I'm currently going through the 4th ed book.  So any info on things that aren't apparent would be much appreciated - mostly, what does Plastic Jungle mean?  I played a rigger way back when.  Currently an adept or street samurai sounds interesting.  I tend to like stealthy characters.  I haven't made up any character here yet as I'm still reading through and forming some concepts.  Mostly need to look over gear and find out what the character would be running in to make sure they are a good fit.

The plastic jungles are located in the Redmond Barrens, and can be found on page 114 of the Runner Havens sourcebook.

Basically, back before the crash some rich guy got the idea to come in with plastic tents, and start repairing the polluted land.  Afterwards, squatters took over the place, and kept the greenhouses going.  The plastic jungles is now a squatter farming community inside the Redmond barrens.

I still haven't made a character for this, too busy with life, and finals are happening right now so my time isn't that free.  I sort of want to make an eagle shapeshifter mage...  Though I assume they'd gravitate towards places with tall buildings, it doesn't seem like there would be any tall structures to roost on in the plastic jungles.

The plastic domes of the plastic jungles are huge. See them from space huge. I'm sure it'll be high enough for you.

Actually, fuck it.  I think imma make a pixie.  I can't conceive of an eagle shifter who isn't a total douche and un-fun to play.  I mean look at em with those stern expressions fixed on their faces.  It would probably suck ass to go out drinking with an eagle.  He wouldn't laugh at your jokes, plus if you offended him he'd rend and tear you.  Pixies, on the other hand, are expected to be fluttering bundles of mischeif, mayhem, and good times.  And a quasi-wilderness place like the plastic jungle would be a good place for one to hide out, especially if the jungle residents are metasapient friendly.

EDIT:  Ok, all done.  Name is Aster.  She has an affinity for metahumans and is quite sociable for such a rare and magical creature.  Though she is a bit moody sometimes...  She wants nothing more than to be an accepted part of a metahuman tribe though, so she should fit in well with Kage's theme.

To be specific: how about those of us who can, meet to RP and flesh out the tribe ided  on the 9th at 1pm EST to (max for me) 8 PM EST, and I'll post the log here of our chat and rp afterwards.

Perhaps it'd be ideal to RP a Prologue of sorts, telling the story of how we come to be in the PJs and how we came together, but after that RP like it's been a cohesive tribe for at least a year. It's more like a commune than a tribe, in some ways, at least in my head. We'll see what people think is most fun.

Fun is the top 3 priorities for me. Then we can worry about theme, leadership, goals, etc.  I imagine it being a mix of low and high powered people, but maybe that won't work and we'll all have to agree to make PCs that don't have a dice pool of more than 9 on anything (without Edge). Who knows. Let's sketch it out together.

I think we should discuss matters regarding this tribe idea on the forums, because im not gonna wait around another saturday afternoon when there are chores to be done :/

So... what sort of concept can we build?  I like the idea but if we don't get the ball rolling at all i don't think this tribe will ever get off the ground.
